What we do…

We at 1 Dog At A Time Rescue will not stand by and do nothing, we have pledged to help where we can. We try to save as many lives as we can … we need your help, without you so many more will die. We have our own shelter called Happy Tails, where our dogs can acclimatise to life, and our volunteers can help them adjust and prepare them for their journey to their new homes. Here, they can recover from the stress of living on the streets and spend some much-needed time in a safe environment getting regular meals, warmth and that special thing called TLC, which is provided by our caring volunteers until the dogs are ready to travel to their new homes in the UK.

We have some wonderful foster homes in the UK that will foster our dogs and provide them with a great start until we can find their forever home.  We are always looking for foster homes to help us, so if you are able to help us by fostering, please get in touch by completing a registration form and marking it for fostering.

All our dogs are fully vaccinated, have a pet passport and are neutered before travelling to the UK. Our dogs are all fit and ready to go to new homes as soon as a suitable home becomes available. Full details of what is included in our adoption fee can be seen on our How do I Adopt page.

We will never post any bad images on our website or our Facebook page (although there are plenty that we have seen and photographed), but those images will never appear here as we know those images upset some people and can be frightening for children to see.

We have a duty of care to ensure that any personal information we hold on our adoptive and prospective homes is stored securely and remains confidential. Our privacy and confidentiality policies are important to us.

We’d love to chat…
