Description:
Toffee & Treacle need your help! These beautiful siblings have spent two long years behind bars – overlooked, forgotten, not a single enquiry in all that time. It breaks our hearts. Everyday, they get out to stretch their legs, and the team do their best to shower them with love in the little time they have, but it’s not enough. They are so very lonely.
Their mum, Sadie, was found abandoned and starved, chained up and barely alive. By her side, seven tiny puppies, clinging to her for warmth. They were rescued just in time — but only two survived. Those survivors were Toffee and Treacle. They grew strong and healthy, full of love and potential. Their mum, Sadie, was adopted but Toffee and Treacle were left behind. They’ve never known a home, never had a bed to call their own, never been chosen.
They are now fully grown and a little rounder than they should be from lack of exercise — but their hearts are bursting with love and their tails wag with hope, hoping that someone, somewhere, will finally see them. Both are playful, loving, and very bonded. They are friendly with other dogs and so Desperate for human affection
We dream of a home where they can stay together, as they eat, sleep and play side-by-side every day. To split them now would be heartbreaking, they’ve never been apart. We’re looking for a kind, patient, experienced home that is rural or semi-rural with a secure garden and someone willing to put in the time, patience, effort and love they so deserve.
Could that be you? Toffee and Treacle are in Kennels in Worcestershire
Thank you for your interest in Toffee. If you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.
As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
