Description:
Nancy is another one of the sweet souls we met at the shelter. This beautiful little girl truly won our hearts she’s so vulnerable, sweet and gentle. A little scared and shy at first, but she quickly warms up and melts right into your arms. She is such a pretty, tiny girl with the most soulful eyes and a soft honey-coloured coat.
Her story like so many before her will break your heart. Nancy was found one early morning by one of the team, attached with a heavy iron chain to the gate of the shelter. Left to her fate. Such an appalling way to leave her, but despite this callous start, she hasn’t lost her sweet nature.
This sweet girl is sitting in a pen, completely exposed to the elements. With sub-zero temperatures fast approaching, we are desperately hoping to get this tiny girl out of the cold and into a warm, safe home.
Nancy is a gentle, loving girl who adores both people and other dogs. She walks beautifully on lead and enjoys multi dogs walking with her friends at the shelter
Nancy’s Ideal Home is a rural or semi-rural setting with a secure garden to explore, a home with another friendly dog to help build her confidence and show her the ropes with patient, kind adopters ready to shower her with all the love, patience, and cuddles she craves.
Please don’t let her stay in that freezing pen when her new life could be so close.
Thank you for your interest in Nancy. If you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.
As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
