Description:

Jimmy is a sweet and friendly boy and is good with other dogs, but not with cats.  He was found struggling to survive on the streets.  Jimmy would prefer to be rehomed with another dog, preferably a calm female.  Jimmy is desperate to be loved, he just wants his special someone to cuddle up with – could this be you?  He’s settled well into foster and is good on the lead and doing well with basic training and recall.  He’s a real character and is very fond of his foster buddy Cookie.

Update from Jimmy’s Foster Mum:-

Jimmy is a very lively, friendly dog. He can be a little over enthusiastic when he first meets new people and dogs.  Off lead he is very good and his recall is great.  On lead he will bark and pull to see other dogs but having training at the moment and there have been improvements already, but this will need to be continued. Jimmy can be a bit of a resource guarder.  He is crate trained and clean in the house.  Jimmy needs lots of love time and training for him to blossom into the wonderful dog he is. He would fit in with a family who are active or a single person who wants to have lots of attention and long walks with training.  Jimmy has lots to offer but needs people who will help him and support his ongoing training.

If you think you could meet Jimmy’s needs and offer him a loving forever home, please fill out a registration form for him and our rehoming team will be in touch.

Thank you for your interest in Jimmy if you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.

As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them.  When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs.  Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive.  For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment?  Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home?  Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog?  Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you?  Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
