Description:
Howie has the saddest eyes we think we have ever seen, you just want to wrap your arms around him and never let go.  Let him experience all the love he has missed out on his whole life.
Life for Howie has undoubtedly been hard and cruel, we found him completely alone, abandoned in a yard of rubbish. Yet despite the neglect and unimaginable conditions he has had to live in surviving on the kindness of a neighbour who would throw him scraps. Unbelievably he remains the sweetest boy who just dares to hope, finally he may have the chance of a wonderful life and a place to call home.
Howie is an old boy 10+ medium size. He is not neutered and because of his age we will not be able to neuter him. He will be fully vaccinated & chipped. Howie has very deformed back legs, because of this we would like to find a home with a nice large garden for him to be able to potter around in and as he’s unable to navigate steps, he will need easy assess to outside space. He is fine with other dogs.
We are looking for a forever foster home for Howie. One that will see exactly what we see and except him for what he is and love him with all their heart. Just spoil him and give him everything he has never had. The entire team would love to make sure he is on our first transport of 2022. When no one has ever wanted you or even cared, can you imagine how incredible it would feel to finally be wanted and loved. Help us make that, a reality.  If you think you could meet his needs and offer Howie the forever foster home he so deserves, please fill out a registration form and one of rehoming team will be in touch.

Thank you for your interest in Howie if you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.

As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them.  When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs.  Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive.  For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment?  Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home?  Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog?  Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you?  Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
