Description:

Bella is a stunning 2-year-old girl with a heart of gold. She has been with her current owners since she was 6 weeks old and is only being re-homed due to a change in family circumstances that leaves them unable to give her the time and exercise she needs. She is still with her owners in the Liverpool area whilst we help them find her a new home

Bella is exceptionally social. During her assessment, she was immediately friendly, allowing herself to be touched everywhere and displaying zero aggression. She is very food-motivated, which is a fantastic tool for the basic manners training she is eager to start. While she is a “bouncy” girl who jumps up when excited, her intentions are purely affectionate.
She is a proven success with children of all ages, including those with complex needs. She is friendly with other dogs on walks but cannot live with cats.

Bella is a “blank canvas” with regards to training. She pulls on the lead when interested in something and currently prefers a collar over a harness. Bella is microchipped but will need a full restart of her vaccinations and neutering (to be discussed with the charity). She is currently on a wet-food-only diet.

Bella is looking for an active household with a secure garden. She has spent her life in an urban environment with limited exercise, so she will need a patient owner to help her transition into a more active lifestyle. Her “excitement urination” is a sign of her enthusiasm and should settle with a consistent routine and calm leadership.

Thank you for your interest in Bella. If you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.

As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
