Description:

Meet Sissy (also affectionately known as Soprano), a gentle, tiny soul found wandering terrified in the middle of a busy main road. Thankfully her fate changed that day when she was safely lured into a local bakery shop narrowly missing a passing bus, a miracle that saved her life. At just a young age, Sissy has already been through so much.

Despite her difficult past and having already given birth to puppies on the streets, Sissy is so trusting gentle and has the sweetest energy. While she was understandably shy and trembling when first rescued, she has bloomed into a sweet, trusting girl who absolutely adores human affection. Her shelter carer calls her “Soprano” because she sings with joy in a cute, high-pitched voice every time she sees her come to take her out.

But with a short coat, life in an outdoor shelter enclosure is getting harder by the day. Sub-zero temperatures are coming fast, and Sissy desperately needs a warm, loving home before the bitter cold sets in.

Sissy is exceptionally gentle, affectionate, and cuddly. She loves being close to her special person. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs (currently sharing an outdoor pen with two male dogs).

Sissy’s needs a rural or semi-rural home with a secure garden to explore ideally with another friendly dog to help build her confidence and show her the ropes. She needs patient, kind adopters ready to shower her with the love and cuddles she craves.

If your heart has just melted and how could it not, and you can offer Sissy the warm blanket, caring arms, and loving family she so truly deserves please apply

Thank you for your interest in Sissy. If you would like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please read the ‘How do I Adopt’ pages, where you can find more information about the process and the costs involved.

As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them.  When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs.  Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive.  For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment?  Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home?  Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog?  Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you?  Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.

We’d love to chat…
